This news story is so out there... I never would have seen this coming if I even had a roadmap.
50 Cent is in negotiations with Steve Jobs to produce a line of cheap computers aimed at inner-city residents, according to Forbes Magazine.
50 Cent told Forbes, "I'm creating a foundation that will be around for a long time, because fame can come and go or get lost in the lifestyle and the splurging. I never got into it for the music. I got into it for the business."
Seems as though my personal impressions of the famed rapper have been ill-aimed. He seems to have a very good head on his shoulders.
ALso, for those of you into movie-making, one of the programs used in the Oscar-award winning* movie, King Kong, has now gone universal. Shake 4.1 has also been lowered in pricing, down to $499 (US). I'm not a movie-making buff myself, but Shake is a digital compositioner. This would be an excellent tool, especially if you already own Final Cut.
Now surely, you all have heard about the insinuation made by a London newspaper. Well, on Monday Apple began an audit of the iPod factory that allegedly has sweatshop-like conditions. Currently, I think this is just a disgruntled person's jab at Apple for whatever reason. One of Apple's bragging rights is that it is constantly in strive for acceptance and equal treatment of all human beings. The HRC recognized this recently by giving Apple a score of 100. For scores on other companies in various categories go to this URL: http://www.hrc.org/buyersguide/buyersguide.htm#Computers
In more personal news, I have three Apple products arriving by next Thursday (June 29th). They are, .Mac, the iPod Universal Dock, and a 17"iMac with a gig of ram and 250 gig HD. If you can't tell, I am very excited for this! I will be sure to tell you all about my experiences, as it will be my first personal Mac.
